Instructor Notes and Student Logs

Know that you must be out of the simulation sessions to (1) fully view the Instructor or Student Logs (2) listen to the call recordings -  because the system is using those files when the simulation program is open.

The print outs didn't show the latest data!

When you are working on the CAD Screen and you add or change data you need to hit the save icon on the bottom of the screen.  This is the same as in CAD when you hit ENTER.

Adding Your Alert Tones

Some agencies use alert tones others do not, some use closed or restricted air tones and all are unique sounding.  You will want YOUR tones to be added.  If you use alert tones or other tones prior to dispatching you can upload and use these in the sound effects buttons.

Upload the sound effect per your User Manual page B20 - be sure to name them so that the student recognize them as that and name the *.mp3 file the same as you want the label to be.

Idea For Sound Effects! Way Cool

Now you all know you can customize the sound effects (yes, it's in your User Manual).

If you want to use your own 9-1-1 calls for the trainees to listen to and enter into CAD you can do this (especially if they are the screaming hang ups!).

-Upload your call mp3 - User Manual page B 17.

-Upload your matching address - if it's not in there - User Manual page B 18

Ready go!  Select the actual ALI / call the student / hit the sound file.
